Students in grades K-2 are invited to participate in The STEAM Club. Each session will provide new challenges that will allow students to be creative, work together in teams, learn new skills and have fun. This is a chance for your child to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math activities integrated with a lot of creativity! Students can choose as many classes that fit into their schedule! __________________________________________ Grades K-2 Monday-Feb 10, 24, Mar 10, 24 April 14, 28 $10 per class (register for as many classes as you would like!) Instructor: Mrs Blake __________________________________________ Feb 10-Ping Pong Potholes: Give specific materials, create a device to put Ping-Pong balls into holes in a box. Feb 24-Build a Boat: Create a boat that will stay afloat while adding more and more weight. Mar 10-Marble Trail Mix: Create trails that a marble can follow to a specific destination. Which trail gets the marble to its destination in the fastest time? The slowest time? Which trail has the best sights to view on its way to its destination? Mar 24-Dinos on Parade: Teams will create a performance all about dinosaurs. There will be a paleontologist that discovers a "new" dinosaur that is invented by the team. Apr 14-Sea Creature Tower: Given specific materials, groups will create a tower that is as tall as possible. How many sea creatures will your tower support? Apr 28-Flying Fish: Fish are flying everywhere! Using the provided materials teams will create a launching device to make their fish fly!
